STEERING COMMITTEE

 

Minutes of a meeting of the Steering Committee held in the Parish Hall, Ravenhill Park, Brereton, on 27th June 2019.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Mrs DM Easton, R Easton and Mr J Vernon and Mr A Youé.

 

  1. MINUTES

 

The minutes of the meeting of the Steering Committee held on 16th May 2019, were approved and signed as a correct record.

 

  1. NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN

 

The Chairman invited Members to examine new advice issued by the Government on

26th June 2019, relating to housing for older and disabled people.  The proposals could be viewed under ‘Planning Practice Guidance’ on the website.

 

The advice would form part of the Committee’s deliberations in identifying housing requirements for older and disabled people as part of the Neighbourhood Development Plan.

 

The Clerk undertook to include this matter on the Agenda for the next meeting of the Committee.

 

  1. RUGELEY POWER STATION – OUTLINE PLANNING PERMISSION

 

The Chairman encouraged as many Members of the Committee as possible to attend a post submission exhibition being held on 4th July 2019, at Mansfield House between 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm.

 

The exhibition would give members of the public an opportunity to view the outline planning application for the Rugeley Power Station site.

RESOLVED

 

That the next meeting be held on Tuesday, 30th July 2019, at 8.15 p.m.
